We believe in working as much with you as with your dog because our goal is to provide long-lasting impact through expert training.
I am a member of the lifelong dog lovers club. I got addicted to dogs at a very young age (I blame my parents lol).
My animal training journey started by training birds for commercials and movies and educating owners about training, mental stimulation and the health of their feathered companions. My journey continued into the horse world where I worked with jumping and dressage horses in Florida and then New York. My world from birth has always included pet dogs and as soon as I bought my first house my dog world grew to include dog sports.
I believe trainers should have a solid education in the science and theory as well as hands on training and experience. I also believe that learning is a life long endeavor and we should constantly seek out educational opportunities and test our metal and be willing to be judged in different dog sports. It's one thing to proclaim your training is the best but being judged in dog sports is what keeps us humble and realizing there is always something new to learn.
I have traveled all over north America to train with some of the best trainers in the world. I have trained dogs of all types for all kinds of sports and titled, and won many competitions with many dogs who I was told were not capable.
My world was turned upside down and the trajectory of my career was forever set to include dog training when one night while I slept my house caught fire. It was my dog who worked his butt off to wake me up (no small feat) and get me out of the house. He could have just used the doggy door and saved himself but he chose to stay and make sure I got up and out of the house even while the smoke was overtaking us. I am forever grateful to that dog not just for saving my life but putting me on the path to helping so many others.
I am a multi discipline dog trainer and competitor who has consistent high scores and numerous awards in several different venues. I have trained and shown dogs in many sports including schutzhund (tracking,obedience & protection), obedience, conformation, agility, scent hurdle racing, and more.
In addition to dog sports I have trained dogs for narcotics, personal protection, service work.
I have trained and certified dogs in Search and Rescue with National as well as International Organizations. I'm very thankful that my dogs have been able to bring closure to families.
From competition obedience to protection sports, search and rescue and working with dogs with aggression, fear and reactivity; I have proven that training can be fun as well as effective and not just for me but for all of my clients as well.
My greatest achievements have come from working with dog owners just like you.
My training philosophy is that training should not only be fun but should also be effective and efficient (I am always disturbed when people tell me they have been working for years and not seeing much if any improvement). it should not take years to accomplish.
You and your dog are a unique team and deserve training that works with your personalities not trying to fit you into the same ol mold. The better your dog is the more you will take them out and the more they will experience the world giving them the quality of life you want for them and that they deserve.
